Getting Heartburn Relief

Antacids are great for providing quick relief from heartburn symptoms. They work directly in the stomach to decrease the acidity of the reflux liquid irritating the esophagus. They also help neutralize the area inside the esophagus. When antacids and a foaming agent are combined, they produce a foam barrier in the stomach. This barrier floats over the contents of the stomach preventing acid from splashing up into the esophagus.

A Call for International Marriage Laws

I recently watched a CNN programme Цифровая фоторамка Samsung which centred on “kidnapped daughters” (from multicultural marriages) who were unwillingly given away in marriages in Islamic states by their fathers. Usually, the fathers were from these Islamic states. While pondering over why some states still refuse women their rights to choose whom to marry, the key question I am also trying to answer is “Which international law governs inter-country and inter-religious marriages?”

The real issue is whose belief overrides in an inter-country and inter-religious marriage. Should the father dictate the beliefs of his daughter till she is 18 or should the mother? Whilst love still stands as the basic foundation for a successful marriage, marrying a foreigner with a different religion/beliefs needs a more concrete foundation – such as a signed agreement.

Bovine Brains – Do They Work The Same As Ours?

“WHOA GIRLS. DON’T BE AFRAID. SHE’S THE SAME AS YOU!”

The heifers stampeded across the pasture and right through the fence. There were posts popping, wires whining, bovines bellowing. I had not planned this rodeo.

I recently bought three groups of condo builders in calgary year-old heifers to graze the grass on our small farm, Ohlers’ Acres. Two groups were Black Angus – totally black. When I turned them together, it was if they were long-lost cousins – immediate friends, even though they were from different farms.

Then I hauled in a heifer from the third farm. This animal was yellowish with a white face. When I let her out of the trailer, the hullabaloo happened.

Through my years of working with cattle, I have finally learned that once an episode like this starts, it is out of my control. Rather than cussing, swearing, and raising my blood pressure, I might as well sit, watch the show, and see if I can learn something.

It occurred to me that this episode was about the same as watching the philippine tattoo book integration of a new child at a playground, a newcomer in a community, or a new member of an association or organization.
